Serving on the USGA Executive Board: Serving on the USGA Executive Board would allow you to have a strong say in what policies at Ursinus College should be. It would also allow you to take the ideas your friends talk about often and turn them into action. Becoming a USGA offers you an amazing opportunity to impact campus life at Ursinus College.
To run for USGA office, you must be an active member of the organization. This means that you must have attended half of all USGA meetings the previous year. You also must have a cumulative GPA of at least a 2.5.
Being a USGA officer is a significant amount of work, and you should be prepared to be busy throughout the year you are in office. Because of the workload, any student who wishes to go abroad during an academic year may not run for office for that year.
Please note, only students who have at least one year of experience on the USGA Executive Board may run for the office of President. If there is only one candidate for President, however, any student may run.
For the 2007-2008 academic year, the following positions are still open after the first round of elections: Recording Secretary and Historian. Please email usga@ursinus.edu if you are interested in filling either of these positions.
Serving on a Class Council: Class Councils give students an opportunity to plan and coordinate events for each class. These events include fundraising events, community service events, and social events. Class officers are able to put together events which no other campus organization is able to do.
To run for Class Office, you must be in good academic and disciplinary standing. Because of the significant amount of work that comes with serving on a Class Council, any student who wishes to go abroad during a particular academic year may not run for office for that year.
For the 2007-2008 academic year, the class of 2011 has the following positions open:
Please email usga@ursinus.edu if you are interested in running for these offices. |
