Association for Computing Machinery The mission of the Association for Computing Machinery, ACM, at Ursinus is to promote the professional, academic, and social development of all students interested in computing. This organization is open to all students interested in Computing Sciences at Ursinus College.
Association of Latinos Motivated to Achieve (ALMA) The purpose of A.L.M.A. is to promote awareness of the Latino culture throughout the Ursinus College Community through cultural programs, community service and social activities. The name "Association of Latinos Motivated to Achieve (A.L.M.A.)", was given to the organization because it captures the essence of its purpose. The use of the word "alma", Spanish for "soul", further captivates the organization's goal of sharing the many aspects of the Latino "soul" with the Ursinus College Community. All students, faculty, and staff are welcome.
B-Note Society Ursinus College Women’s Quartet. Open to all students interested.
Beardwood Chemical Society The Beardwood Chemical Society is charged with the noble task of providing a center of activity for all students interested in the chemical sciences. This organization is not just for Chemistry Majors. The organization's activities are inherently tied to the interests of its members. The Beardwood Chemical Society meets at least once per month to discuss upcoming events and plan other activities.
Bearitones Ursinus College Men's Quartet. Open to all students interested.
Berman Buddies Berman Buddies is a student advocacy group for the Berman Museum of Art. The group works with the museum to sponsor and promote events of interest to the student body. The organization is open to all students interested in joining. Meetings are held during the week in the Berman Museum.
Best Buddies Best Buddies is a non-profit organization dedicated to enhancing the lives of people with intellectual disabilities by providing opportunities for one-to-one friendships and integrated employment. Founded in 1989 by Anthony K. Shriver, Best Buddies has grown from one chapter on one college campus to a vibrant, international organization involving 40,000 participants this year on more than 800 middle school, high school and college campuses in the United States, Canada, Egypt and Greece, and Cuba.
Blue Note Jazz Society The Blue Note Jazz Society is intended to introduce and cultivate the knowledge of Jazz amongst students, faculty, and staff. The organization accomplishes this through a variety of activities including educational trips and Jazz events held in the Wismer Lower Lounge. The Blue Note Jazz Society welcomes any interested member of the Ursinus community.
Brownback-Anders Pre-Medical Society This organization is open to all students aligned with the Pre-Medical academic track and offers a variety of speakers ranging from physicians that are alumni of the College to medical school professors in the greater Philadelphia area. Career advice and guidance is given to students pursing a career in the medical profession.
Campus Activities Board (CAB) The Campus Activities Board is one of the main student programming boards at Ursinus College. In conjunction with the Leadership Development and Student Activities Office, the Campus Activities Board plans and implements a wide variety of student programming. Membership in CAB is open to all Ursinus College students. All active members have voting privileges within the organization. CAB is always looking for someone that wants to make a positive change and have fun while doing it!
College Democrats The Ursinus College Chapter is based on four major foundations: (1) An educational forum, to bring the political and social landscape directly to the Ursinus community; (2) A leader in networking and building upon the influence of various campus organizations; (3) An active leader in the community, to apply our education, improve our region, and bring outside resources into our campus; (4) A personal and professional springboard of jobs and internships.
College Republicans The Ursinus College Republicans is a newly reorganized organization hoping to take an active role in future Republican campaigns at the local and state levels. In conjunction with the Ursinus College Democrats, this organization will host many politically based events at Ursinus College. This organization is open to all Ursinus College students.
Dance Dance Revolution Club The purpose of the DDR Club is to promote physical fitness as well as to support worthwhile charities through fundraising events via the gaming sensation known as Dance Dance Revolution. Membership is open to all students, faculty, and staff at Ursinus College.
Ursinus College Environmental Action The purpose of this organization is to promote environmental education and awareness, encourage environmentally friendly practices, and provide community service to improve the environment. The activities sponsored by this organization are open to the entire campus. Escape Velocity Dance Troupe The Escape Velocity Dance Troupe is open to all Ursinus students, including both beginning and advanced dancers. The Dance Trope focuses mainly on hip-hop, jazz, ballet and modern, but new ideas are welcome!
Exercise and Sport Science Club The Exercise and Sports Science Club is an organization dedicated to helping those students interested in entering the Physical Health profession. This club provides an edge into the professional world of Physical Education and Sports Science by offering a variety of speakers, site visitations, workshops, and conferences to our members. The Exercise and Sports Science Club also participates in a variety of social activities such as rock climbing and white water rafting to promote networking and a sense of camaraderie.
Fencing Club The Fencing Club provides an opportunity for students to participate in a sport that is not present on many campuses. The Fencing Club holds practices and events which allow students to advance in this art.
Ursinus Film Society The purpose of the Film Society is to promote film literacy on campus by showing an assortment of great U.S. and foreign films. Showings are every Saturday night in Olin Auditorium. All Ursinus students, faculty, and staff are welcome to attend!
Ursinus Fishing Club The Ursinus Fishing Club is open to students interested in Fishing. Meetings and trips are held throughout the academic year.
Ursinus Folksong Society The Ursinus Folksong Society strives to promote various types of music and musicians through on and off campus events. This organization is open to any member of the Ursinus community that has an appreciation for music.
Forensics Society The purpose of the Forensics Society is to provide its members with forensic training and competition experience.
From The Belly - Ursinus Women's Magazine From The Belly is the Women's magazine of Ursinus College. Staff positions are open to all members of the campus - male or female, student or faculty. Two editions of the magazine are published per year (one per semester). The purpose of the magazine is to raise awareness of the issues of equality and gender relations that affect all people.
The Gay/Straight Alliance This organization provides a support structure and addresses the issues concerning gay, lesbian, and bisexual students and their allies. This organization provides discussion groups, speakers, fundraising opportunities, and educational awareness. This is organization is open to all Ursinus College students.
The German Club The German Club is open to all Ursinus College students interested in German culture and cuisine. Twice per semester, the club sponsors trips to German restaurants located in Philadelphia and surrounding areas. Past trips have included Ludwig’s Garten (Philadelphia, Pa.) and Alpenhof (Reading, Pa). Everyone is welcome!
The Grizzly—Weekly Newspaper The Grizzly is the weekly campus newspaper written for, by, and about the Ursinus College student community. This organization is open to all students interested in exploring newspaper operations.
International Relations Club The objective of the International Relations Club is to better inform the Ursinus community of world affairs and international events by providing various campus activities including panel discussions and guest speakers that explore current perspectives on international events.
Investment Club The Investment Club is an organization that promotes the learning and understanding of all investment principles and practices. Regular meetings are held throughout the year. Some events include Portfolio Competitions, speakers, and occasional off-campus trips.
Japanese Club The Ursinus College Japanese Club strives to bring further appreciation and increased understanding of the Japanese culture (past and present). Sponsored events include trips each semester to the Mitsuwa grocer in New Jersey, community service in the Tea House at Fairmount Park, and seasonal festivals. The club also sponsors a weekly Anime Night throughout the semester. The club is open to all Ursinus students. Knowledge of Japanese is not necessary for participation.
The Lantern—Literary Society Magazine The Lantern is the Ursinus College literary magazine. The functions of its editorial staff include solicitation of visual and written material, selection of the submissions for publication, and the editing and production of two issues of the magazine each school year.
Le Cercle Français (French Club) Le Cercle Francais is open to French speakers of all levels. The club organizes events and activities to promote interest in the French culture. Many of the members attend the weekly French table held in Wismer Dining Hall.
Mathematical Association of America Nationally, the Mathematical Association of America is the largest professional society that focuses on undergraduate mathematics education. We welcome all who are interested in the mathematical sciences. The mission of the MAA at Ursinus College is "to advance the mathematical sciences, especially at the collegiate level.
Men's Rugby Club The Men's Rugby Team is an intercollegiate club open to anyone interested in learning the game of rugby. No prior experience is necessary. Club practices occur three times per week during the season. Games are held on Saturday afternoons. The Rugby season runs Fall to Spring.
Ninjutsu Club The Ninjutsu club teaches its members about the art; they work with STARS Health to teach members of campus how to defend themselves.
Organization of Commuting Students (OCS) OCS is open to all commuters. The purpose of this organization is to interact with a group of similar peers and be a part of the Ursinus campus.
Ursinus Bears Paintball Club The Ursinus Paintball Club exists to promote the rising sport of paintball. The club will provide opportunities to learn about paintball and participate in local and national tournaments. All Ursinus College students are welcome!
Political Science Association The Political Science Association exists to promote the study and understanding of politics, government, and the issues facing the world today. All interested Ursinus College students are welcome!
Psychology Club The Psychology Club is open to all Ursinus students, and has a focus on psychology. The club organizes trips, activities, and guest speakers for the members to further their education in psychology in a more relaxed, fun manner. The club holds meetings once or twice a month and all are welcome to attend.
Residence Hall Association (RHA) The Residence Hall Association strongly believes in voicing the opinions and concerns of the residential students at Ursinus while striving to resolve many of the problems these students face. RHA hosts many fun-filled activities throughout the year including stress relief activities, exam breaks, and ice cream socials to name a few. RHA membership is open to all residential Ursinus College students.
Ursinus College Roller Hockey Club The purpose of the Roller Hockey Club is to form student clubs teams representing Ursinus College that will compete in the Philadelphia Collegiate Roller Hockey League.
The Ruby—Ursinus College Yearbook The Ruby Yearbook has been in existence since the founding year of the College, 1869. The staff is comprised of Freshmen through Seniors and meets once a week together, but primarily is done independently with less supervision. There is one Editor in Chief and several division editors covering Sports, Special Events, Student Life, Faculty & Staff, Seniors, Clubs & Organizations and Greeks.
Sankofa Umoja Nia (SUN) The purpose of Sankofa Umoja Nia is to foster a sense of awareness and promote educational and cultural programs throughout the Ursinus Community that is unique to the culture of African and/or African-American ancestry.
SCUBA Dive Team The Ursinus College SCUBA Dive Team is open to all interested students certified to dive. This organization offers dive certification training every Fall semester. Personally, the group's members "love the water and embrace any opportunity to explore the depths!"
Society of Physics Students The Society of Physics Students is open to all students that are interested in the topic of Physics. General meetings are held at least once per month.
Southeast Asian Student Association (SASA) The Southeast Asian Student Association is an organization that works to increase multiculturalism at Ursinus College. Although, SASA has historically been focused on promoting Asian cultures, we welcome all Ursinus College students, both American and International.
Students for Creative Anachronism The Students for Creative Anachronism (SCA) is an organization dedicated to researching and re-creating pre-17th century European history. Members are encouraged to discuss and re-create topics of their choice. This organization is open to all Ursinus College students.
Student Emergency Response Volunteers (SERV) SERV provides emergency medical services to the campus 24 hours a day when classes are in session. Emergency Services Training and resources are available to those interested in this field. This organization is open to anyone affiliated with Ursinus College.
STARS Health STARS Health is an education-based organization made up of Ursinus students that focus on creating a support system to discuss different personal issues. S.T.A.R members are available by appointment by contacting the Executive Board.
Ursinus Table Tennis Association The UC Table Tennis Association is open to all students interested in learning the game of table tennis.
UCORE (Ursinus College Outdoor Recreation Education) UCORE facilitates outdoor trips and exertions, including surfing trips and ski trips.
Voices in Praise—Gospel Choir Voices In Praise is the Ursinus College gospel choir dedicated to the ministry. This organization travels on and off campus spreading the word of the Gospel through song. The choir is open to all Ursinus College students, faculty, and staff interested in ministry. Practices are held every Sunday evening in Bomberger Hall.
We C.A.N. (Care About the Nation) We C.A.N. attempts to educate the campus about current social issues affecting our communities and our nation. We C.A.N. tries to involve students in more than just a passive political role.

WVOU—Ursinus College Radio WVOU is open to any and all students interested in promoting quality radio broadcasting and broadcasting related events to the Ursinus Campus and surrounding community. |
