Workshops are an excellent way to find out about labs and equipment available through Science in Motion.  It also gives teachers an opportunity to try out the materials.  We have gotten away from summer workshops and have been concentrating on doing workshops during in-service days.  Once a date is arranged, we let teachers select activities they would like to see.  We usually divide up into to groups, live sciences and physical sciences.  If a workshop can't be arranged, we could do a short presentation during a faculty meeting with an overview of what we offer and how to arrange a visit or drop off of equipment.  As with everything about Science in Motion, there is no cost for any of these services.
