Richard P. Richter, The Agile Individual, 15 May 1995, delivered
at Montgomery County (Pennsylvania) Community College.
Abstract: In the world that has emerged in 1995, fulfillment will come to those
who think and work and live their lives with agility. Agility is the ability
to adapt and continue learning in an environment that is in a constant state of
change, leading to permanent uncertainty.
"To be agile means to move with quick, easy grace, to be mentally resourceful,
nimble, brisk, open to new knowledge and willing to apply it."
We adapted the notion of the agile individual from that of agile competition
and the virtual organization in Goldman et al.
