He didn't raise the question of sickness.

It descended like metal scrap from the sky.

 

Sickness as compared to what?

Health is the illusion of permanence,

the vain hope that transience

is not the root truth.

 

Health risks being sickness

because it contradicts the basic fact

of being finite and fleeting.

Health at best is sickness at bay.

 

He didn't set out to be sick or healthy.

There are others ways to consider the sky.
