THEORETICAL CONCEPTS IN POSTMODERNISM: DEAD SHOOT
The live shoot to theoretical concepts in
postmodernism leads to The Ten Commandments of the Postmodern.
The following lists were abandoned by THE PROGRAMME while work was in
progress. They are still made accessible, however, because they may provide useful
links to critical theory for some readers in their incomplete state.
HERE IS THE DEAD SHOOT:
Below is a working list of theoretical concepts at the heart of the postmodern.
In the architecture of THE PROGRAMME, as it develops, these concepts link with
bibliography, bibliographical notes, and a growing list of direct quotations
from sources. They also link with references on the World Wide Web.
This working list covers only concepts on which we have done some reading,
however limited that may be.
We have identified the following concepts for review; when links are made,
they will move above the dotted line:
DECONSTRUCTION
DIALOGIC
DIFFERENCE (Race-Class-Gender)
GENRE
HETERONOMY
NOMAD
PARALOGY
RHIZOME
TERROR
