GYMNASTICS Activity

1. Examining the equation for rotational inertia (I=mk2), where k is the radius of gyration, compare and contrast mass vs. radius of gyration, (i.e., the distance that represents how far away from the axis of rotation the mass of the body is distributed) during each type of somersault; explain which factor of this equation exerts a more pronounced effect on rotational inertia and why.
