This is a test to create a new web page using Expression Web 4. So far, not bad.
Department: Environmental Studies
Office of Sustainability
We explore human relationships with the natural world across a range of perspectives, from spiritual, ethical, and aesthetic to the scientific, economic, and political.
Students may major or minor in environmental studies, engaging in project-based, process-focused, and field-oriented classes that emphasize problem solving. Many students engage in independent research which allows them to work closely with faculty on topics such as urban ecological change and management, local food systems, climate change, sustainable design, and wildlife and ecosystem conservation.
Our students are active in environmental issues on
and off campus. They work with members of the faculty and staff on
sustainability projects involving recycling, energy efficiency, water resource
management, landscape management, and other issues. For community-oriented
conservation programs, they work closely with partner organizations on watershed
and ecosystem-level issues.
