1. Fill in the missing steps from Eqs. 7.119 - 7.122 in your notes. (Don't send the work to me by email.) Any questions?

   Why does Eq. 7.122 only have one term inside the sum instead of 2? In other words, what happened to the $c_m E_m e^{-i\omega_m t}$ in Eq. 7.120?

2. What does Eq. 7.121 give you for a constant, uniform $\hat{U}$ (no $x$ or $t$ dependence)?
