Citations for Research Papers

             Material in research papers comes largely from the work of others.  To avoid plagiarism it is necessary to give proper credit to the original source.  Various academic and professional associations have published standard formats for writers to use in those disciplines.  A number of guides are available on Reserve at the Circulation Desk in Myrin Library.  The following are the most frequently used formats:
