Millipore polished water system is available in Pfahler 301. (Last Update:

A default method called "scandef.m" has been made on the 5890/5971 GC/MS.
This method has many of the settings that you might want want to use in
a method where you want the mass spectrometric detector to scan.
Feel free to modify it for your needs but save it under a different name

A syringe cleaner has been purchased and can be found in the hood in Pfahler
310 (Schultz/Williamsen research laboratory). (Last Update: 4 October

Equipment to prepare liquid and mull IR samples can be found in the Analytical
laboratory (Room 301). Included in this room are pneumatic presses
on the far wall and salt plates, KBr, mineral oil and other IR sampling
supplies next to the hood on the wall farthest from the Physical Chemistry

Microbalances with minimum capacities of a hundredth or thousandth of a
milligram are found on the balance table on the far wall of the Analytical
Chemistry laboratory (Room 301).
