• Attended De Pere High School in De Pere, WI from 1977-1981.

College

• Attended Carleton College in Northfield, MN from 1981-1985 where I received a B.A. in chemistry. Contact with Carleton alumni could occur through local alumni clubs or the alumni e-mail list.

Graduate

• Attended the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill in Chapel Hill, NC from 1985-1990 where I worked in the group of Dr. John W. Olesik and received a Ph.D. in chemistry.

Post-doctoral

• Served as a Camille and Henry Dreyfus Fellow in the chemistry department at San Jose State University (San Jose, CA) from 1991-1993 and continued as a lecturer/researcher until 1995.
