IMPERFECT TENSE, PASSIVE VOICE

  Like the active, imperfect passive uses the second principal part and has the -ba in the endings. Fourth conjugation still acts up (see below)

FIRST CONJUGATION

amo  amare  amavi  amatus

amabar -  I was being loved        amabamur

amabaris                                         amabamini

amabatur                                         amabantur

SECOND CONJUGATION

habeo  habere  habui  habitus

habebar                                            habebamur

habebaris                                         habebamini

habebatur                                         habebantur

THIRD CONJUGATION

pono  ponere  posui  positus

ponebar                              ponebamur

ponebaris                           ponebamini

ponebatur                           ponebantur

FOURTH CONJUGATION

audio  audire  audivi auditus

audiebar                                 audiebamur

audiebaris                               audiebamini

audiebatur                                audiebantur

Note the presence of the -ie before the ending- the same as with imperfect active. Third -io verbs work the same way.
