A
degree in biology opens up many opportunities for jobs or future
schooling.
Biologists can perform basic or applied research, teach formally or informally, work in administration, public relations, or law, to name a few. They can work for private corporations, schools, non-profit organizations or the government. A person with an undergraduate degree in biology can move onto medical, graduate, or other professional school. Check out the Biology Careers link for a list of types of jobs available. Here is a PowerPoint Presentation by Ursinus alumnus Geoffrey Mills on How to Pursue an MD/PhD Joint Degree. Geoffrey presented this talk to Biology majors in April 2004. The Career Center is also a very good resource for information on careers in biology. |
