Contemporary American Paintings and prints are a particular strength in the Permanent Collection of the Berman Museum of Art and include artworks by Roy Lichtenstein, Robert Rauchenberg, James Rosenquist, Malcom Morely, Sam Francis, Susan Rothenberg, Andy Warhol, Alexander Calder, Robert Indiana, Claus Oldenberg, Pat Steir, Larry Rivers, Frank Stella, Tom Wessselmann, Bruce Nauman, Robert Motherwell, Jasper Johns, Ellsworth Kelly, Jonathan Borofsky and several others.

Also represented in the permanent collection are artwork by Philadelphia-based contemporary artists including Isaiah Zagar, Barbara Zucker, Jody Pinto, Jimmy Leuders, Sidney Goodman, Charles Fahlen, Merle Spandorfer and Tom Judd.
